Personally...
...I'm compulsively prepared for any situation - real or potential. Chalk it up to being a former Girl Scout, but I'm always the one with Band-Aids, sunscreen, batteries and Shout wipes.
...I live for solving problems and figuring things out. A crossword puzzle, a new recipe, a quicker/faster/cheaper way. I get great satisfaction from being told something "can't" be done, because to me that's just an opportunity to do what I love and what I am good at.
...I love the arts, culture and all forms of communication. I enjoy interesting gallery exhibits and exposing myself to new and different things. I'm continually fascinated by all the means by which to communicate thoughts, feelings and ideas.
Professionally...
...I ended up in marketing rather accidentally, but I'm so glad I did. It's given me a chance to both do what I love and what I am good at - solving business problems with creative solutions.
...I have had the pleasure of working in several different capacities across a variety of industries, all of which taught me things I could not have learned otherwise or elsewhere. I learn by doing and I learn quickly.
...I'm extremely organized and detail-oriented. I actually enjoy using Excel and make spreadsheets for everything. My English degree taught me to read between the lines, and my editing experience taught me how to ensure the lines are flawless.
